Todd worked his way into the Australian Championship this year securing a place through finishing second in the North Brisbane qualifier. Last season Todd, represented Newport at both Premier and National league level and was also named as number 8 for Coventry but gained limited experience in the top flight, scoring his only point when beating Timo Lahti on September 2nd. Todd joins the Pirates on a trial basis with Poole boss Matt Ford believing that he could well be 'one for the future' alongside his brother Brady who claimed this year's U16 Australian Solo championship
