POOLE have agreed terms with Polish star Krzysztof Kasprzak to return to Pirates . . . but only from July onwards.
The Pole – who has won two league titles with the Dorset club – agreed to re-join the club after initially turning it down.
Announcing the signing, Poole boss Matt Ford explained: "Krzysztof was the first rider I turned to once I knew we had a vacancy that fitted his 7.97 average and after an initial knockback I am delighted that the extended talks have concluded in a positive agreement for us with Krzysztof confirming that he will be available from July.
"He is keen to continue his drive towards the Grand Prix and made that abundantly clear from the start of our discussions, while admitting that he would relish the chance to come back to Poole.
"Having had time to consider the situation he recognises that the more riding opportunities he can get the better it will be for him and thankfully he has accepted my offer.
"With a rider of his quality Poole too will benefit and I believe that he will be a seamless replacement for Adrian (Miedzinski) who did such a great job for us."
With his return not until the beginning of July, the situation does leave the Pirates a little under-strength for their visit to Wolverhampton next Monday, as they will still be without the services of broken hand victim Darcy Ward.
Poole have booked Chris Harris to cover for him at Monmore Green on Monday.
