ANDERSEN TAKES SENSIBLE APPROACH
POOLE skipper Hans Andersen has revealed that he thankfully escaped serious injury following his early meeting crash on Monday.
The Dane failed to negotiate the first turn of heat four and crashed heavily into the air barrier along with British champion Craig Cook.
Whilst both riders were able to walk away from the incident, Andersen was reporting problems with his neck and immediately after scoring paid 8 for the Pirates, chose to go to hospital for medical check-ups.
He withdrew from his Swedish league engagement on Tuesday and his next scheduled meeting is due to be on Friday for his Danish club Region Varde Elitesport's match against Slangerup. But Andersen has warned that he will not rush back and will need to have easier movement in his neck before considering whether he is fit enough to return racing.
