WEATHER INTERVENES AGAIN
POOLE's start to the season has yet again been hit by the weather with Good Friday's meeting at Wimborne Road having been subject to an early decision postponement.
Matt Ford admitted he felt like he had run over a black cat after the Pirates’ start to the club’s milestone platinum season was hit by the weather.
Tomorrow’s home clash against Somerset was postponed this morning with the Good Friday forecast looking miserable.
Volvo Cars Poole Pirates boss Ford said: “We felt it was better to postpone early to give patrons time to plan alternative Good Friday entertainment.
“We are desperately sorry and hope our luck changes in time for Wednesday’s meeting st home to Wolverhampton.”
The club has 300 boxed Easter eggs to give away to youngsters attending Wednesday’s meeting should the spring rainfall hold off.
Ford added: “We have been desperately unlucky with the weather, sadly our sport’s biggest and constant enemy.”
