Poole extended their unbeaten home form to 14 matches as they turned round a four point deficit to run-out convincing winners by 53-39 against the Lakeside Hammers.

Poole opened their league title defence with maximum points against a Swindon side thwarted by injury. The Robins lost the services of the three riders during the course of the evening and the Bank Holiday Monday fixture was abandoned after 13 completed heats due to lack of emergency cover.

FRIDAY night's Elite League match at Abbey Stadium between Swindon and Poole has been postponed because of a waterlogged track. It will be restaged on Monday April 6, 4.30pm whilst today's morning fixture has been scheduled for Wednesday 29th July.
